Meeting Richard Hatch...
When I first approached his table I was met by one of his helpers, who I must say was lacking in the fine art of hygene, either that or he was stoned, which judging by the look on Richard there might just have been the case. Any way when I approached the guy he told me that Richard was away and will be back shortly, so I hung around, this was right after I got Walter Koenigs autograph so I was killing time. Finally Richard arrived and I had a couple words with him before presenting him with my Super 8mm film of Battlestar Galactica, his eyes widened and he turned it over a couple times and asked "Where on Earth did you get this?" and I proudly announced... "EBAY, it's a wonderful place to get rare and hard to find things" he agreed and signed it, and then I asked him about that trailer he did for the Battlestar Galactica "The Second Coming" and he told me that he will be showing it around 3pm that day, so I stuck around and waited to see it, I tell ya folks, that was an AWESOME trailer, and sadly it was the last time John Colicos was seen on camera. Anyway Richard also played us a trailer for "The Wars of Magellan" which was very Battlestar Galacticaish.. but good in it's own sense, I await that one with eagerness... All in all Richard Hatch was a very nice guy, easy to talk to and would answer questions at the drop of a hat.. so meeting him was a great occasion.
